Upstream USA believes that there should be no “wrong door” to contraceptive care. Patients should have equitable access to non-coercive contraceptive counseling and methods, and contraceptive care is primary care. Currently, there are many barriers to delivering patient-centered high quality contraceptive care and these barriers are only increasing. Speakers will discuss what barriers patients face, how primary care providers within large health systems can help improve access, and share solutions to improving access to contraceptive care especially in primary care settings. We know this issue is top of mind for health care professionals and county/local health department officials.
