Executive survey insights on leveraging tech to streamline hiring

As the workplace evolves, healthcare leaders are adapting their workforce strategies.

To understand the opportunities and obstacles associated with leveraging technology for talent acquisition in healthcare, Indeed — in partnership with Becker's Healthcare — conducted a survey of 138 healthcare leaders. Survey respondents came from health systems, nonprofit organizations and academic medical centers, as well as community, critical access, rural and independent hospitals.

Key highlights:

  • To recruit employees, hospitals and health systems are using several talent acquisition tools, ranging from online recruiting solutions to more traditional, in-person programs.
  • The most widely adopted approach is to post open positions on sites like Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor and others — 68% said they use these tools.
  • Over half of survey respondents (59%) said they participate in job fairs and hiring events.
  • 60% said AI plays either a prominent or quite a prominent role in hiring.
