Sam Davis, MHA, RN, NEA-BC, CNOR, is a healthcare executive and perioperative leader with extensive experience in surgical service line growth, OR optimization, and operational strategy. As Associate Vice President of Perioperative and Interventional Services at Rush University Medical Center, he leads initiatives to enhance OR efficiency, strategically allocate block time, and align surgical capacity with institutional growth goals.
With leadership roles at Sinai Health System, UChicago Medicine, and MedStar Health, Mr. Davis has successfully streamlined scheduling processes, optimized surgical throughput, and balanced inpatient and ambulatory surgery growth. He is also Vice President of the ANA-Illinois Board of Directors, advocating for nursing leadership and policy advancement.
Mr. Davis is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Transformative Leadership at Rush University (2023-2025). He holds a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Citadel, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University.
