Darryl A. Elmouchi, M.D., MBA, is the chief operating officer of Corewell Health™ — formed by the joining together of Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health in 2022. Corewell Health is a $14.7 billion-dollar integrated health system that includes 21 hospitals, 11,500+ physicians and advanced practice providers, multiple large employed medical groups, over 300 outpatient locations and Priority Health, a 1.3-million-member health plan.
As chief operating officer, Darryl leads strategy, operations, clinical care delivery and financial performance for Corewell Health’s entire clinical enterprise. Darryl also serves as a member of the system leadership team at Corewell Health.
Darryl has led Corewell Health’s transformation to value-based care, partnering extensively with Priority Health. He is a strong communicator and inspires people to move through challenges, demonstrating empathy and positivity through both words and actions. In addition to his role at Corewell Health, Darryl is a clinical professor of medicine at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

He holds a certificate in biostatistics from University of Michigan School of Public Health and earned his bachelor’s degree in history at University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship, residency and chief residency at University of California, San Francisco and fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine at University of Michigan Health System.
