Description

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s Adult Infusion Center was struggling with long patient wait times, nurses having to stay past closing time and an inflexible schedule that didn’t take into account no show and same-day add-on patients. They then developed and implemented a scheduling template using historical data and AI modeling by partnering with iQueue for Infusion Centers.

After implementing iQueue, they saw:

  • 8% decrease in average wait times while accommodating a 25% increase in same-day add-on appointments
  • 36% decrease in days over capacity, leading to less overtime and higher nurse satisfaction.
