Description

Average hospital denial rates are exceeding more than 10 percent, often due to inaccurate data. Gathering accurate information at the outset of every patient journey can play a role in reducing denials, as well as building patient loyalty, improving clinical outcomes and driving stronger financial results for providers. Digital tools and automation are continuously evolving and working together to make all processes—clinical, administrative and financial—easier, more accurate and better connected. This session will cover:

  • Strategies to ease patient and staff burden while improving data accuracy at the beginning of the patient journey with improved use of known information and preferences
  • Opportunities to increase patient self-service and automation to alleviate staffing challenges and improve patient loyalty
  • Communication approaches to find a balance between AI and staff-patient conversations that connect with patients at the right time through the right channel, while adhering to their patient preferences
  • Connection points between patient intake, patient access and payment technology to provide seamless, intelligent and consistent patient engagement
