Ben Hall, MBA, MHA, MHCDS, serves as the Executive Director of Perioperative Services at
University of Iowa Health Care, the state’s only academic medical center and Level I trauma
center. In this role, he oversees operations across 50 operating rooms, maintaining high
utilization while balancing the needs of clinical services and the institution’s academic mission.
A champion for operational excellence, Ben has led major initiatives to modernize perioperative
workflows through innovative technology solutions. His leadership has been instrumental in
increasing visibility into operating room resources, establishing data-driven decision-making
within perioperative services, and improving access for physicians. Ben continues to collaborate
with cross-functional teams to optimize resource utilization while enhancing patient care
delivery.
