Kyle W. Trecartin, MD, MBA is Chief Medical Officer at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth, where he provides executive leadership for quality, patient safety, physician engagement, clinical operations, and strategic initiatives across the organization. An emergency physician by training, Dr. Trecartin has extensive experience leading efforts to improve patient flow, operational efficiency, and care delivery in both inpatient and emergency care settings.
In his role, Dr. Trecartin partners closely with hospital, medical staff, and system leaders to advance quality outcomes, strengthen the provider experience, and implement innovative approaches to capacity management and care coordination. He has been actively involved in leveraging technology, analytics, artificial intelligence, and process improvement methodologies to optimize throughput, reduce barriers to care, and improve the patient experience.

Dr. Trecartin earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he developed a passion for operational excellence, quality improvement, and systems-based approaches to healthcare delivery.
