Name
06. Designing Care Beyond the Visit: AI and the Future of Care Orchestration
Description
Health systems are under pressure to extend care beyond the visit through automation, follow-up, and AI-driven support, yet success depends on how well these capabilities align with clinical workflows.
This session explores the core design principles that enable AI to fit naturally into clinical work, including timing within the care process, preservation of clinical intent, unified interfaces, and alignment between operational and clinical goals.
We’ll ground these principles in specific use cases including structured nurse to physician handoffs, longitudinal care coordination for complex patients, and pre operative workflow management, understanding how AI can fit into the moments where clinical context and timing matter most.
