Dr. Bonny Chen serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer for Froedtert ThedaCare, where she provides strategic medical informatics leadership across the continuum of care. A transformational physician executive and internationally recognized leader, she has led large-scale digital initiatives in complex, multi-hospital systems, including enterprise EHR modernization, AI-enabled documentation programs, and health IT governance redesign. Board certified in Emergency Medicine and Clinical Informatics, Dr. Chen has held senior leadership roles at AdventHealth, Ascension, AMITA Health, and HSHS, and is an International Surveyor with The Joint Commission. Dr. Chen is passionate about leverage technology to elevate quality, improve patient safety and advance high-reliability performance within health systems.
