As Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Cecelia Moore leads the full spectrum of financial functions for one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers, with responsibility for a $9B top line. She oversees financial planning, budgeting, treasury, revenue cycle, contracting, reimbursement, supply chain, and academic and research finance.
Since 2013, Cecelia has guided VUMC’s finance organization through periods of significant transformation, including leading the team responsible for separating VUMC from Vanderbilt University and executing a $1.2B debt issuance. With prior leadership roles at Duke University Health System and its physician practice organizations, she brings deep expertise in academic health system economics, revenue cycle management, and financial strategy.
